USAGE:
(1.) Союз as well as, as well объединяет только однородные члены предложения. Для объединения предложений используется союз as или just as: He gave me advice as well as money. Он дал мне совет, а также денег. ср. My son likes to play football (just) as all boys do. Мой сын любит играть в футбол, (так же) как и все мальчики. (2.) Глагол, следующий за союзом as well as, в простом предложении употребляется, как правило, в форме герундия (-ing form). Со сложносочиненным предложением, употребляются два глагола-сказуемых в личной форме. (3.) Форма глагола-сказуемого, согласующаяся с подлежащим, состоящим из двух существительных или местоимений, связанных союзом as well as, зависит от формы первого существительного или местоимения: He as well as all of us is pleased with the result. cp. They as well as I am ready to start. (4.) See as, cj; USAGE (3.).
